Let’s talk about the recent announcement linking Autism to Tylenol use during early pregnancy. Is this the smoking gun? As the parent of an Autistic child, I don’t think so. I applaud the efforts of President Trump, RFK Jr., and everyone involved who is searching for an answer. I’ll say up front that I believe my child’s autism was caused by the MMR vaccine. It’s my opinion that the issue of vaccines in the U.S. has become too political and too divided down party lines to even discuss. Therefore, the soft opening is to blame an over-the-counter drug for Autism and assess the fallout. I agree with President Trump that pregnant women should not take Tylenol, or any other drug for that matter. However, vaccines are the real danger to our children and pregnant women.
*The real win here is that President Trump and RFK have put Autism in the spotlight and sparked debate. Whether they are right or wrong on Tylenol being the culprit is irrelevant. It’s still mission accomplished. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
