I had a great stay at The Duck Inn on Del Pilar Street in Ermita.
If you’re going to the U.S. Embassy, this little hotel is perfect. The rooms are clean, they have fiber WiFi so you can handle business and make phone calls, and the beer is cold at the bar. It’s walking distance to the embassy.
On the weekends they have a band. I think the band plays on Thursday nights as well but I can’t remember.
I paid 1,500 Pesos ($30 USD) at the hotel. I’m not sure what it lists for on agoda, but you can check here.
The hotel and bar has a lot of character. Since the Southern Cross Hotel closed down, The Duck Inn is my new favorite hotel in Ermita.
